Wawa has selected Spring Health as its mental health provider and the newest benefit included in support resources offered to Wawa associates and their families. By investing in its associates’ mental health and personal development, Wawa is enhancing the happiness and well-being of their team, and promoting higher levels of engagement and productivity at work.

Wawa is a privately-held, family- and associate-owned chain of more than 1050 convenience retail stores, currently operating in eight states and in Washington, D.C.

Through its partnership with Spring Health, Wawa now offers its associates and their dependents an annual package of therapy and coaching sessions, and convenient access to personalized mental health solutions. This is a meaningful addition to the benefits Wawa already offers to support the physical, mental and financial well-being of its associates and underscores their commitment to improving mental health, fostering personal growth and encouraging a balanced lifestyle.

“We are thrilled to invest in this new, comprehensive mental health and well-being program as part of Wawa’s commitment to our associates,” says Maria Kalogredis, Chief People Officer for Wawa. “We believe offering inclusive and meaningful benefits and rewards is key to helping our associates feel their best, be their best and soar throughout their Wawa journey.”

Wawa selected Spring Health for its comprehensive approach to delivering quality mental healthcare. In addition to therapy and coaching, Spring Health offers a range of inclusive programs, such as the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Center of Excellence, which provides tailored care throughout recovery, and its Community Care solution that offers access to support while navigating social, economic and medical barriers.

"We're inspired by how deeply Wawa values the well-being of its associates and recognizes the need for comprehensive behavioral health support to not only create a better workplace but also significantly improve the lives of each associate within it," says Adam Chekroud, Co-Founder and President at Spring Health. “We are proud to support Wawa's diverse community of associates and their families as we continue to make access to mental health resources easier and more convenient than ever.”

Wawa’s partnership with Spring Health began in January 2024. Learn more about Spring Health's mental health services.
