Spring Health Sets a New Standard in Global Mental Healthcare

New global program enhancements augment the industry's most effective and inclusive mental health care solution

Jump to section

Today, less than half of the 139 million people worldwide who need mental health care receive it. In low- and middle-income countries, up to 85% of people with mental disorders do not receive the needed treatment.

At Spring Health, we are leading the charge in creating a more connected and personalized mental health care experience for people worldwide. Our unwavering commitment to comprehensive support transcends borders, ensuring that everyone, no matter where they are or what language they speak, can access the care they need exactly when they need it.

Advancing equitable and inclusive care through a unified platform

All Spring Health, members worldwide have access to a dynamic digital platform that connects them to personalized mental health care. The unified platform, available in over 30 languages by the end of 2024, also streamlines open enrollment and ongoing communications for HR teams. Members can easily book appointments with local, rigorously-vetted Spring Health providers through our website or mobile app, with appointments guaranteed within two days.

In addition to personalized care recommendations and direct scheduling, all members also have access to Spring Health's library of clinically validated digital exercises, Moments. Whether on-the-go or at home, members can engage in over 1,000 video and audio exercises and articles that support mental well-being across a wide range of conditions, covering topics like anxiety, relationships, mindfulness, and more.

“We are setting a new industry standard that is deeply rooted in our commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and collaboration,” says Robin Lloyd, Chief Product Officer at Spring Health.

“By creating a unified digital experience that reaches members worldwide in their own language, we are ensuring that everyone, no matter where they are, can access the support they need. Our unified platform and seamless provider collaboration reflect our core values of compassion and excellence in mental health care. It's more than just technology—it's about making a meaningful difference in people's lives."

    All in on localized support

Driving engagement requires localized, proactive programs that reach members wherever they are and encourage active participation in their mental healthcare journey. We've enhanced our omnichannel communication strategies to ensure members receive locally-relevant toolkits, trainings, and support through their preferred channels across time zones and languages. Members across the globe also have access to free, localized clinical programming, including webinars and community events, with topics rotating monthly, such as navigating through a crisis, managing stress and anxiety, and fostering a sense of belonging.

In addition to these efforts, our support extends uniquely to expatriates, who often face distinct challenges with relocation and repatriation. With assistance from global care navigation, local provider teams, and localized work-life resources, we ensure that employees feel supported throughout their transitions, making the process as smooth as possible.

Spring Health’s commitment to localized support is further exemplified by our global crisis response efforts. Whether addressing the psychological aftermath of the Israel-Hamas conflict, providing critical support during the devastating Taiwan earthquake, or offering mental health aid in the wake of Hurricane Beryl, we are at the forefront of global crisis response. Our network of localized mental health professionals is equipped to deploy swiftly and effectively, ensuring that individuals, managers, and teams affected by such calamities can access 24/7 support and compassionate care in their local language. This includes tailored, localized content specifically designed to support members, managers, and customers in their time of critical need.

Furthermore, Spring Health offers workplace care teams that can be embedded into customers' various onsite locations around the world. We have already implemented this for global customers, with our workplace care teams embedded in locations such as Changi, Singapore; Tokyo, Japan; Toronto, Canada; Cancun, Mexico; Montreal, Canada; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Mexico City, Mexico; Paris, France; Amsterdam, Netherlands; and London, England. These teams deliver bespoke mental health programs tailored to the organizational models and needs of our diverse global customers, ensuring that mental health support is seamlessly integrated into the workplace culture, regardless of where the workforce is located.

Investing in our global provider network

Spring Health is also proud to announce that 100% of our providers worldwide are fully integrated onto Compass, our proprietary Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This technology captures all clinical interactions, enabling consistent, coordinated, and high-quality care across the globe and solidifying Spring Health's position as a leader in global quality assurance.

Compass, launched in 2022, was developed by our therapists and care team members to enhance care decisions and reduce administrative burdens. Unlike traditional transaction-based EHRs focused on billing, Compass promotes real-time collaboration among mental health providers, fostering a supportive work environment and enabling continuous tracking of member outcomes for a comprehensive care approach. With an impressive 4.8/5 average member satisfaction rating and a 95% year-over-year retention rate for our providers, these high scores further validate the effectiveness of our data-powered global care model.

Building on this foundation, in 2023, Spring Health also launched the Global Clinical Advisory Board, a distinguished group of providers from around the world dedicated to enhancing and localizing mental health care delivery. The board strengthens and validates the insights generated from local markets and healthcare systems, supporting the continuous improvement of our global programs and services and empowering providers to lead future innovations.

Our dedication ensures that everyone, regardless of location, can access the support they need to lead healthier, more productive lives.
